About
Erika Garcia is currently a BFA student at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. She recieved her Associate’s in Arts (Liberal Arts) from the University of Hawaii Leeward Community Collage in 2013. Working in the mediums of Screenprinting and Lithography. Her screenprints consists of cultural motifs such as Japanese, Native American patterns referencing from the Navajo fabric motifs, and Polynesian cultures such as Maori, Samoan, and Hawaiian. Her Lithographic prints consists of these bodies of work that conveys her notions of the “Human Trace” and creating her own mark making with tagging, scratches, and scrape marks within the prints.
